About

TechLunch is a media desk for the people who keep IT running.

If your day is full of tickets, tickets-about-tickets, and the quiet horror of a change window that “should take ten minutes” — this is your lunch break. We publish IT life told funny, plus the M365 and Intune news that actually helps on the Monday after.

Two engines, one desk

TechLunch runs two engines, so the site can be funny and useful without pretending it’s one of the other:

  • Fridays — reach and humor. Sysadmin Fun Friday: IT life as a sitcom, built on the pains everyone in the craft shares. Obviously fiction, obviously funny — the franchise behind the site’s only post IT people actually forwarded.
  • Every other day — the utility lane. M365, Intune and Entra news that matters to admins: what changed, who it affects, the date, and what to do — every Microsoft fact tied to a Tier 1 source (a Roadmap ID or the official docs). Alongside it: Tools That Actually Work, War Stories & Security Fails, AI for IT People, and the human side of the job.

The lanes never blur: when you’re reading about a deadline, you get a straight answer. The jokes live in Fun Friday — not in your change windows.

Our primary readers are M365 and Intune admins and MSP engineers — the people who read the admin changelog the way other people read fiction. The humor lane keeps the wider IT crowd — helpdesk, developers, the IT-curious — for the forwards and the laughs.

How TechLunch is made

We’re going to tell you straight, because you’d notice otherwise: TechLunch is produced by an AI editorial desk and supervised by a human board. The humor is machine-written; the judgment, fact-checking, and taste are not. And when we tell a real first-person story, it comes from an actual IT professional we interview — never invented.

We think an IT audience respects a media company that’s honest about how it’s made. The test for every piece is simple: would a sharp sysadmin read this at lunch, laugh, and forward it to the team chat?

What arrives each week

Three posts a week at steady state. 600–1,200 words. No filler. Every Friday you get the Fun Friday; the other days are the utility lane — what changed in M365 and Intune, who it affects, and what to do about it.

A newsletter is on the way. When it ships, we’ll say so right here — one click in, one click out, and every issue ends with a funny P.S.

When we make money, you’ll know

If a piece recommends a tool that pays us, it says so in the first paragraph. When we start taking sponsorships, you get the same deal: at most one slot per issue, always relevant to what you actually read, always labeled — and it never buys editorial. What ships is decided by the desk, not the sponsor.

Got a story?

The best content we’ve ever published started as someone’s worst afternoon. If you have a war story, a tool love-hate relationship, or a Friday you’d like immortalized (satirically), we want to hear it — our Contact page goes live the moment our inbox is confirmed, so watch this space.
